There is a new plugin that brings osCommerce and WordPress together. I can now create a website for you that uses both platforms from one WordPress based administration panel.
For many years I’ve used osCommerce for e-commerce and content management sites. osCommerce is an extremely flexible and powerful plugin shopping cart catalog, and administration machine all rolled into one. It is open source – and therefore is available for private or commercial use free of charge under the GNU Public Licence. osCommerce is widely used and supported, and is part of an extremely large online community. It consists of a catalogue front-end, which can be used in conjunction with your existing site, or as a stand-alone site in its own right. From straight out-of-the-box it looks like a less than exciting gray store-front, but with customization osCommerce can be used to design professional looking web sites with an easy to use administrative back-end interface.
